Collection: Matcha AccessoriesWhisks, bowls and cups

Matcha accessories help decide how your matcha tastes. A good bamboo whisk makes a fine foam, a sieve prevents lumps and the right bowl gives the whisk room to move. We choose tools we would use at our Matcha Bar: functional, durable and good-looking enough for your kitchen shelf.

The matcha accessories you really need

To start with, three things are enough: a bamboo whisk, a bowl and a spoon for measuring. The whisk, called a chasen in Japanese, has many fine prongs cut from a single piece of bamboo. With quick zigzag movements, it whisks the matcha into a foam without leaving lumps. A whisk holder keeps it in shape afterwards, so it lasts.

A fine sieve is worth it if you like your matcha especially smooth. And if you take your latte with you, you need a cup that seals well and works for hot and cold drinks. With everything, we look at material and workmanship: bamboo, ceramic, stainless steel and cups made partly from recycled plastic. As a gift, a set with everything you need for your first matcha works well.

You will find the right matcha in Matcha Powder & Blends. We show how we prepare it at our Matcha Bar in Munich. Everything around matcha is in Matcha.
